Everyone experiences waxing differently, but most clients find it far more manageable than they expected.
The first wax can feel slightly more intense, but with regular waxing the hair becomes finer and appointments become quicker and easier over time.
Hair should ideally be around ¼ inch long, roughly the length of a grain of rice.
If hair is too short the wax cannot grip it properly, which can affect the result.
If you're unsure, feel free to ask before booking.
Most clients return every 4–6 weeks to maintain smooth results.
Regular waxing helps weaken the hair over time, which means regrowth becomes softer and easier to remove.
Yes — but it’s best to stop shaving for 2–3 weeks before your appointment so the hair is long enough for the wax to grip.
Switching from shaving to waxing may take a couple of appointments while your hair growth cycle resets.
Yes, waxing can still be carried out during your period.
You may feel slightly more sensitive at this time, so some clients prefer to book outside of those days if possible. If you do attend during your cycle, simply wear a tampon or menstrual cup.
Arrive with clean skin and avoid applying heavy lotions or oils beforehand.
Allow the hair to grow to the recommended length and wear loose comfortable clothing for after your treatment.
For the first 24–48 hours, it's best to avoid:
• Hot baths or saunas
• Intense exercise (we dont want you sweating)
• Tight clothing
• Fake tan
• Sunbeds or direct sun exposure
This allows the skin time to settle and reduces the risk of irritation.
Regular gentle exfoliation and hydration help keep the skin smooth and allow hairs to grow through the surface correctly.
I recommend and retail simple aftercare routines to help keep your skin looking its best between appointments.
Absolutely. Many clients feel nervous before their first appointment.
Treatments are carried out professionally and respectfully, and most clients leave saying they wish they’d started waxing sooner.
